Christopher Parr, Madison web designer and the creator of the award-winning Cybermad, was the cover story on the Oct 31st, 1996 edition of Wisconsin State Journal’s Rhythm Magazine (an arts and entertainment weekly magazine). Interviewed by Wisconsin State Journal journalist Tom Alesia, Christopher talks about Cybermad winning the “Best of the Net” award at Macworld 1996.
An award-winning playwright and screenwriter, Christopher Parr received his MFA in Dramatic Writing from Brandeis University, Boston. CPID was created as a combination of his screenwriting and interactive work, including web design and producing original online content. As an example of CPID’s design and marketing success, the Internet community and the press has honored Parr’s pop-culture magazine CyberMad with the top awards, recognition and praise available. The “who’s who” of the wired world (including Chip Bayer, Executive Producer – Hotwired; James Atlas, writer and editor – the New York Times; author Douglas Coupland; Roger Black, president – Interactive Bureau, designers of Discovery Channel Online & USA Today Online) selected CyberMad as the Winner of the 1996 NetBest Award at MacWorld Expo in Boston.
