Windows 95

This is where the story begins and technology meets content creation. Christopher Parr was a Microsoftie, a member of the Windows 95 launch support team. He began working with Microsoft to assist the DOS support team in 1994, creating documentation, internal tools and FAQs to help empower the support team. He self-taught himself HTML development and used cutting edge design tools like Corel Draw and MS Publisher.

Then, Christopher moved on to the big show, and was there for the launch of Microsoft’s Windows 95 on August 24, 1995. For the launch, Christopher created training documents, FAQs, developed and maintained support intranets, trained support team members and more. The FAQ content and articles were also migrated over to the Knowledge Base on Microsoft.com. And yes, Christopher has met Bill Gates.
